What is LinkedIn Recruiter?
LinkedIn Recruiter is a sourcing tool that helps you find and connect with candidates.
- To use Recruiter System Connect (RSC), you must have a LinkedIn Recruiter license.
- Corporate Recruiter: Full-featured license required for integrations.
- Recruiter Lite: Not supported for ClearCo integrations.

- LinkedIn Recommended Matches: LinkedIn Recommended Matches extends Recruiter System Connect (RSC) integration functionality within ClearCo in order to streamline Recruiters’ sourcing experience. For every job successfully synced to LinkedIn via ClearCo, LinkedIn automatically presents a stream of matches and recommended candidates from across its network for Recruiter users to consider and reach out to.
- LinkedIn Apply (formerly Easy Apply): LinkedIn Apply allows your candidates to quickly and easily use their LinkedIn profile information to apply to jobs.
- Apply with LinkedIn: Allows candidates to quickly and easily use their LinkedIn profile information to apply to jobs located on your public career site.
- Limited listings are free job posts collected by LinkedIn from across the web. They are visible to candidates searching for jobs or viewing your company page.
How job posting works
When you create a requisition in ClearCo, eligible requisitions can sync to LinkedIn and appear on your company page.
You can then:
- Promote jobs using LinkedIn job slots.
- Manage visibility within LinkedIn.

- RSC helps you source passive candidates in LinkedIn Recruiter. It is best for teams actively searching for hard-to-fill roles.
- RSC is typically used for applicant sourcing of passive candidates. For orgs that have hard-to-fill positions and recruiters who are actively searching for candidates on LinkedIn regularly, RSC can help to power that LinkedIn sourcing problem.
- Apply Connect helps active candidates apply quickly by embedding the application in LinkedIn.
- Apply Connect focuses on making your job posting more attractive to active candidates by making it quick and easy to apply. The goal of Apply Connect is to reduce applicant dropoff in the application process by embedding the application in LinkedIn.
Sync timing depends on which integration you are using.
- Apply Connect typically syncs within a few minutes. Timing may vary depending on your application setup, including application complexity and the number of active job postings.
- For Recruiter System Connect, data sharing is typically completed within a few hours.
Apply Connect and RSC are available at no cost, but RSC does require a LinkedIn Recruiter license.
If your organization currently uses a custom XML integration to send jobs to LinkedIn, that integration must be removed before Apply Connect can be enabled. Contact your ClearCo team or support representative as soon as possible. We will work with our team to remove the existing XML integration and help enable Apply Connect. Do not enable Apply Connect until your custom XML integration has been disabled. Running both at the same time may cause job posting issues.
