How to Post a Job from ClearCompany on LinkedIn

ClearCompany's integrations with LinkedIn, Recruiter System Connect (RSC) and Apply Connect, allow clients to automatically create LinkedIn job postings for their requisitions created in ClearCompany. Types of LinkedIn Job Posts

Limited Listings Job Slots

Limited Listings are free job posts on LinkedIn that any member can use. These posts are visible to candidates actively conducting a job search or viewing a company’s LinkedIn Page.

Once you've enabled either LinkedIn integration, you will be able to automatically post your requisitions created in ClearCompany on LinkedIn. The job posts that are created as a result are the free, Limited Listings that appear on your LinkedIn Company page.

Job Formatting Requirements

In order for jobs to be successfully posted on LinkedIn, the jobs must adhere to LinkedIn's Quality Job Post Standards. In addition, the following formatting requirements must be met:

Job Description
The job description must be greater than 100 characters in length.
Posting Location
The Office or Posting location on the requisition must have a valid Zip Code and Country assigned.
At this time, only organizations with the Apply Connect integration can post jobs with Remote locations. Learn how to post a remote job through Apply Connect here.
If your organization has the Recruiter System Connect (RSC) integration without Apply Connect, remotely located requisitions will fail to sync to LinkedIn. In those cases, an Office with a valid address location must be assigned to the requisition.

Posting a ClearCompany Requisition on LinkedIn

  1. When creating a requisition, you have the option to include the Employment Status and Experience level. Keep in mind Employment Status and Experience Level are not required, this only impacts the information that is displayed on the requisition on LinkedIn. You can also select "Workplace Type" You can select On-Site, Hybrid, or Remote. Keep in mind that Workplace Type is different from the actual location.   2. When selecting the job boards you would like to post a new requisition to, toggle on the 'LinkedIn' option. You can toggle off this option on a per-requisition basis if you do not want the job posted to your LinkedIn company page. Workplace Type.png
     Note: You must enable posting to the public company board in order to also post on LinkedIn.

  3. Locations are added by searching for a city, state, or postal code, the available locations on a job posting are dependent on the country where the requisition's office is located, the job can only be posted to cities or offices in that country. If the office is changed to one in a different country additional locations from that country can be added. At this time, LinkedIn does not support Job Postings:1-to-Many Locations.   •   If the sync is successful, you can expect to see your job appear within Job Search results and your company page within 1-2 hours.
  •   If the requisition fails to sync, you will receive an error message on the Sync Logs page shortly after the attempt. Details on the Sync Logs page and sync errors can be found in this article.

LinkedIn Child Org

If you have a Child Brand page on LinkedIn, you can include the CompanyPageURL so we can send requisitions to those Child Brand Pages.

    • If you are a new client, please reach out to your Implementation Manager.
    • If you are an existing client, please reach out to your ClearCompany Representative to add this Company Page URL.

For any posted requisitions, you or your ClearCompany Representative will need to un-toggle the post to LinkedIn, save, and then re-post to LinkedIn for the requisition to be re-synced. Any new requisitions created will post to LinkedIn correctly moving forward.

FAQs

If I make an edit to a requisition, such as updating the Title or Description, when can I expect the updates to be reflected on the Job Post on LinkedIn?

Updates should be reflected within ~ 1 hour of the changes taking place. If you do not see the updates reflected after, and up to 24 hours, you can manually reinitiate a sync to LinkedIn by following the steps listed here.

Will Child Brand pages work for both LinkedIn AC and LinkedIn RSC?
Sending requisitions to Child Brand pages will work for both LinkedIn AC and LinkedIn RSC.
Can I select more than one Employment Level or Employment Status?
As of now, you can only select one for each.
What if the Employment Status or Employment Level not displaying correctly, what are my next steps?
If you confirm that the fields are populating correctly based on LinkedIn Sync, reach out to LinkedIn Support if there are any issues with the way those fields are not displaying correctly.
