How to Post a Job from ClearCompany on LinkedIn

ClearCompany's integrations with LinkedIn through Recruiter System Connect (RSC) and Apply Connect. These integrations allow you to automatically post requisitions created in ClearCompany to your LinkedIn Company Page. Types of LinkedIn Job Posts

Limited Listings (Free)

Limited Listings are free job posts available to all LinkedIn members. These appear:

  • In LinkedIn job search results.
  • On your LinkedIn Company Page.

Once your LinkedIn integration is enabled, requisitions created in ClearCompany can automatically post as Limited Listings.


Job Slots (Paid)

Job Slots are a paid LinkedIn Recruiter feature used to promote job postings.

To automatically send jobs from ClearCompany to your Job Slots:

  • LinkedIn’s Job Wrapping service must be enabled for your organization.
  • Job Wrapping allows you to prioritize which open jobs are promoted in your Job Slots.

If you are unsure whether Job Wrapping is enabled, contact your LinkedIn Account Manager.


Job Formatting Requirements

To successfully post to LinkedIn, requisitions must meet LinkedIn Quality Job Post Standards and the following technical requirements.

Job Description

The job description must be greater than 100 characters in length.

Posting Location

The Office or Posting location on the requisition must have a valid Zip Code and Country assigned.

Important: Remote Jobs

  • Only organizations with Apply Connect can post remote roles.
  • If you use RSC without Apply Connect, remote requisitions will fail to sync.
  • In those cases, assign an office with a valid physical address.

Posting a ClearCompany Requisition on LinkedIn

Follow the steps below when creating or editing a requisition.

  1. When creating a requisition, you may optionally include:
    • Employment status
    • Experience level
      • These fields are not required but affect how the job displays on LinkedIn.
  2. You may also select a Workplace Type: On-site, Hybrid, or Remote. Workplace Type is informational and separate from the required physical posting location.

  3. When choosing job boards: Toggle LinkedIn on. Ensure posting to the public company board is enabled. (required for LinkedIn posting).

  4. Important: The job can only be posted to locations within the same country as the assigned office.
    • LinkedIn does not support one job posting to multiple locations.
    • LinkedIn will use the default office location for display.
  5. Save the requisition.
  6. What happens next:
    •   If the sync is successful, you can expect to see your job appear within Job Search results and your company page within 1-2 hours.
    •   If the requisition fails to sync, you will receive an error message on the Sync Logs page shortly after the attempt. Details on the Sync Logs page and sync errors can be found in Troubleshooting LinkedIn Requisition Posting and Candidate Sync Errors.

LinkedIn Child Org

If your organization uses LinkedIn Child Brand pages, ClearCompany can send requisitions to those pages using the CompanyPageURL.

  • If you are a new client, please reach out to your Implementation Manager.
  • If you are an existing client, please reach out to your ClearCompany Representative to add this Company Page URL.

For any posted requisitions, you or your ClearCompany Representative will need to un-toggle the post to LinkedIn, save, and then re-post to LinkedIn for the requisition to be re-synced. Any new requisitions created will post to LinkedIn correctly moving forward.


Check LinkedIn Posting Status

After posting, you can monitor the status directly in ClearCompany.

To Check Status

  1. Open the requisition.
  2. Navigate to the Job boards page.

  3. Review the LinkedIn posting status.

  4. Status updates may take several minutes to appear.

Understanding LinkedIn Expiration

  • LinkedIn job posts do not remain live indefinitely.
  • Free and promoted jobs may automatically expire.
  • Many job types close after approximately 30 days if not renewed.
  • Expired jobs no longer appear in LinkedIn search results.
  • If a job appears to close unexpectedly, review its expiration date in LinkedIn or repost the requisition from ClearCompany.

If the Job Does Not Appear

If your job does not appear on LinkedIn:

  • Check the Job boards' status.
  • Review the Sync Logs for errors.
  • If needed, re-trigger the sync by resaving the requisition.

FAQs

If I edit a requisition, when will changes appear on LinkedIn?

Updates typically appear within 1 hour. Allow up to 24 hours for full processing.

If changes do not appear:

  • Open the requisition.
  • Select Edit details.
  • Save to re-trigger the sync.
Can I edit the job directly in LinkedIn after it has been posted?

You can edit the job in LinkedIn, but ClearCompany is the system of record. Changes made directly in LinkedIn may be overwritten the next time the requisition syncs. For consistent results, update the requisition in ClearCompany and allow it to sync to LinkedIn.

Does closing a job on LinkedIn close it in ClearCompany?

No. Closing a job in LinkedIn does not close the requisition in ClearCompany. To ensure the job closes properly in both systems, close the requisition in ClearCompany.

Will Child Brand pages work for both LinkedIn AC and LinkedIn RSC?

Yes, Child Brand posting is supported for both integrations.

Can I select more than one Employment Level or Employment Status?

No, only one selection is allowed for each field.

What if Employment Status or Experience Level is not displaying correctly?

First, confirm the fields are saved correctly in ClearCompany. If they are correct in ClearCompany but display incorrectly on LinkedIn, contact LinkedIn Support for assistance.

I closed a requisition in ClearCompany, and it's still showing as posted on LinkedIn. How can I fix this?

Wait up to 24 hours for LinkedIn to process the close request. If it remains open after 24 hours:

  • Open the requisition.
  • Select Edit details.
  • Save the requisition again in a closed state.
  • This resends the close request to LinkedIn.
Why did my job expire on LinkedIn?

LinkedIn may automatically expire jobs after approximately 30 days, depending on your LinkedIn plan and posting type. If a job expires:

  • Reopen and resave the requisition in ClearCompany to repost.
  • Or renew the job directly in LinkedIn, if applicable.

Review your LinkedIn plan details or contact LinkedIn Support for expiration policies specific to your account.

Why is my job not appearing in LinkedIn search results?

If your job does not appear in the search:

  • Confirm the posting status is Listed on the Job Boards page.
  • Allow up to 1–2 hours for visibility.
  • Confirm it is posted to the correct LinkedIn Company Page.
  • Check whether the job has expired.
  • Review the Sync Logs for any errors.

If the status shows as Failed or does not update as expected, refer to the troubleshooting article.
