Using LinkedIn Recommended Matches

Follow

LinkedIn Recommended Matches extends Recruiter System Connect (RSC) integration functionality within ClearCompany in order to streamline Recruiters’ sourcing experience. For every job successfully synced to LinkedIn via ClearCompany, LinkedIn automatically presents a stream of matches and recommended candidates from across its network for Recruiter users to consider and reach out to. In order to use this feature, you must first enable it on your LinkedIn RSC Integration.

What is LinkedIn Recommended Matches?

Recommended Matches is an additional feature available to clients using the LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect integration which provides you easy access to the best candidates for a posted requisition, even if they haven’t actively applied yet.

Reach out to those you think are a good fit, and save them to existing ATS requisitions to speed up your sourcing process. LinkedIn's recommendation algorithm learns from selected preferences in order to present you with better matches over time.

How to access Recommended Matches

Reminder: Usage of the feature requires that you are logged into ClearCompany and LinkedIn Recruiter within separate tabs of the same browser window. If you haven't enabled this feature on your Recruiter System Connect integration, please do so now by following these instructions.

LinkedIn Recommended Matches can be found within each individual Requisition in ClearCompany under the Sourcing tab. See explicit instructions below.

  1. Start by clicking Tools > Recruiting.
  2. Select the Requisitions tab and choose the desired requisition.
  3. Within that requisition, click the Sourcing Tab followed by LinkedIn Recommended Matches.

If you see an error on this page, review the troubleshooting section below.

How potential matches are determined

LinkedIn utilizes information on members' profiles and recommends users that align that with the job description. In addition, as you use the feature, LinkedIn will learn from your actions on candidates and improve the results over time.

How to act upon presented matches

Once a LinkedIn member is presented, there are multiple actions you can take based on your evaluation of their fit for the role.

  1. Not Interested - Specify that you are not interested in the displayed member and wish to see another result. Note: You cannot undo this dismissing action, however, those members can still appear as recommendations on other requisitions.
  2. Save to Job - Ability to 1-Click Export candidates' LinkedIn profile information into ClearCompany under this specific requisition, creating a candidate profile automatically.

Candidates sourced through this feature will have a source of LinkedIn Recruiter.

  3. Save and InMail - Ability to 1-Click Export candidates' LinkedIn profile information into ClearCompany under this specific requisition and send an InMail message.

Troubleshooting issues that may arise

The Recommended Matches page won't load if the ClearCompany requisition isn't synced with LinkedIn yet and you will see an on-screen message, as shown below.

If the requisition was just opened, wait a few minutes and then refresh this page. Otherwise, review the Sync Logs to determine if the requisition failed to sync with LinkedIn and if so, learn how to resolve the error in our troubleshooting guide.

Sync Process Refresher: Once a requisition is Opened and Posted, or simply placed in an Open status, your LinkedIn integration will automatically attempt to sync the new requisition between the two systems. If the sync fails for any reason, for example, a job description does not meet the minimum character length, you can use this guide to learn how to view the error and resolve the issue.
