Configuring Your Mobile Number for ClearText

In order to start using ClearText to reach out to your applicants via text, you will need to associate your mobile phone number with your ClearCompany user account. By default, a copy of the text conversations will be sent to your mobile device, allowing you to continue the conversation when you're away from the computer. This setting can be disabled if needed.

Adding a mobile phone to your user account

  1. Select your Profile Icon in the upper right-hand corner of the system, then select My Account.

  2. In the Mobile Phone field, enter the number for your mobile phone.

  3. Select UPDATE at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

Once you've added your mobile phone number, you can start Collecting Applicant Phone Numbers to start reaching out to applicants via text.

 

Receiving text conversations on your mobile device

By default, a copy of the text conversation you initiate with the candidate from within the system will be sent to your mobile device, allowing you to continue the conversation when you're away from the computer. If you do not want to receive these conversations on your phone, you can disable this setting. Follow the steps below to learn how to edit this setting.

  1. Select your Profile Icon in the upper right-hand corner of the system, then select My Account.

  2. Click on the Preferences tab.

  3. Scroll to the SMS setting at the bottom of the page.

  4. Unselect the Forward ClearText conversations to my mobile device option.

  5. That's it! You should see a green Preferences Updated message, indicating that the changes were saved.
