ClearCompany's Recruiting system offers a variety of candidate texting capabilities through a feature
called ClearText. Included with ClearText is Texting Templates, which allows users to create standardized templates for SMS messages. Texting templates allow you to include dynamic fields that populate information about each specific candidate.

Adding a New Template
When ready to create a new template you can follow the steps below to add a new template.
Only users with Recruiter and User Admin permission can manage Cleartext SMS Templates.

From the main page, navigate to Tools and select Setup.

Under Recruiting Setup, select ClearText (SMS) Templates.

On this page, you will see a list of your current templates (if any have been created). In the top right, select Add New Template.

You can now create your template. Type in a Template Name and Your Message. Once you are satisfied with your message, select Save.

Once saved, you will be brought back to the templates list and a successful message will appear.
Dynamic Fields
When creating a text template, you have the option to add Dynamic Fields, which act as placeholders and will automatically populate the right information related to each specific candidate. The following options for dynamic fields are below.

Managing Texting Templates
Once the templates are created you are able to either Edit, Copy or Delete a template.
Editing a template
- Navigate to Tools> Setup> ClearText (SMS) Templates

Click on the three dots icon next to the template you will like to edit, selectEdit

This will bring you to the screen below where you can,
1. Edit the Template Name
2. Edit Your Message
3. See the editing History of the template
4. Delete the Template
Copying a template
From the ClearText (SMS) Templates setup page:

Click on the three dots icon next to the template you will like to copy. Select Copy.

This will bring you to the screen below where you can make changes to the Template Name and Your Message.
Deleting a template
From the ClearText (SMS) Templates setup page:

Click on the three dots icon next to the template you will like to delete. Click Delete.

Once you select Delete, you will be prompted with the message below.
Once a template is deleted it cannot be recovered.
- Click Delete Template to confirm the action.
Using Texting Templates
Once you have created an SMS template, you are ready to use them. You can use templates when individually and bulk texting candidates. Below are the two ways they are used.
