ClearInsights Essential Overview
All clients have access to ClearInsights Essential. ClearInsights Essential includes the same prebuilt liveboards as ClearInsights Max.
With ClearInsights Essential, you can:
- View underlying data
- Export data to Excel, CSV, or PDF (Data from Liveboard answers can be downloaded. The Essential plan does not support downloading the underlying data view.)
- Use prebuilt Liveboards
- Apply filters and save favorites
- Share Liveboards with other users

Considerations for ClearInsights Essential
Some actions are visible in the ClearInsights interface but are limited to ClearInsights Max.
As a ClearInsights Essential customer:
- You can select Show Underlying Data and Edit Columns on a table. Changes made to columns are not saved for the Essential or Max plans.
- You may see an Edit option on a Liveboard, but you cannot select it.
- You must duplicate a prebuilt Liveboard to add custom fields.
- You cannot edit Liveboards, even after duplicating them. Liveboard editing is available only to ClearInsights Max users.
- Downloads are limited to 1 million rows of data per download.
When you duplicate a Liveboard as an Essential customer, the system creates a copy and automatically includes custom fields. You can use and share this duplicate, but you cannot edit it.
ClearInsights Navigation

To access ClearInsights, navigate to the Tools menu and select ClearInsights.

On the top bar where it mentions "Insights In.." you can select the type of prebuilt liveboards you would like to see, the options are Recruiting, Performance, People Analytics, Engagement, and Other. See below for more information on the prebuilt liveboards that are available.
Permissions
Liveboards that a user can access depend on their permission level. The recruiter's permission is required to view the ClearInsights option.
