What is a Job Aggregator?

Job aggregators are search engines designed to display results exclusively for job postings. They gather job posting data from applicant tracking systems like ClearCompany and from postings on other job boards, making them all searchable and viewable in one place.

Job Board Feeds

When you set a job requisition to post on your Public Job Board, these job aggregators will automatically extract posting information from a shared XML feed and replicate the posting on their own sites. This process requires no additional time or effort on your part.

Statewide and Nationwide Job Posting

If you are posting a job that is not tied to a specific office location, you can indicate that the position is available statewide or nationwide. This designation will appear on your company career site and on job boards that support statewide or nationwide listings. We recommend using this feature for remote, regional, or other positions that don't have a fixed office location. To learn more, check out: Job Posting: 1-to-Many Locations.

Automatic Feeds

ClearCompany currently posts job listings for free on your behalf to the following job aggregators:

  • Indeed
  • Glassdoor
  • LinkUp
  • ZipRecruiter
  • Monster
  • LinkedIn* (available after enabling either of our free LinkedIn Integrations)
How long does a job stay posted on the job aggregator's site?
  • Indeed: 60 days
  • Glassdoor: 90 days
  • LinkUp: 90 days
  • ZipRecruiter: 120 days
  • Monster: Monster does not guarantee posting duration
  • LinkedIn*: 180 days or the listed requisition close date

*Jobs can be sent to LinkedIn automatically after enabling either of our free LinkedIn Integrations.

If you wish to have a job post for longer than this, you will have to close the requisition and re-open a new req, per the requirements of these job boards.

Manual Candidate Sources

You can manually post your job listings to manually create candidate sources. For instructions on creating and posting to these candidate sources, refer to this article: Post a Job Requisition

Sponsored Job Boards

You have the option to make automated sponsored postings to our partner job boards. This creates a sponsored posting on the selected boards for 30 days, and you can renew the posting as needed.
Sponsored Job Boards

What is the difference between a free and sponsored posting?

For most job aggregators, a sponsored posting appears at or near the top of search results when a candidate performs a job search, increasing the likelihood of candidate applications. Sponsored postings do incur a cost, with pricing varying by board. We offer discounts on many of them through our agreements with the boards.

Does sponsored posting cost money?
Yes. Pricing per post depends on the board. We have agreements with the job boards that allow us to offer you steep discounts to sponsored pricing on many of them.
Can I sponsor my post to one of these boards?

You can sponsor postings to Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, and Monster. Additionally, you can sponsor postings to LinkedIn and Dice. Sponsored postings guarantee top placement in search results on these job aggregators.

Career Sites

ClearCompany provides three options to connect your Applicant Tracking System to your careers page. These options enable dynamic posting and removal of job openings from the careers site. When candidates apply through the careers site, they are automatically submitted to the relevant requisition in ClearCompany.

Can I post to multiple locations?

This can be done with the Job Postings: 1-to-Many feature.

When selecting Public Job Board, can I remove a Job Board?

At present, the automatic feeds are all or none, meaning they either post for every requisition on the public job board or not at all.

Which credit card is used in Sponsored Postings?
This is set up by going to My Account. Check out this article: Sponsored Job Boards.
How often does the XML feed get scraped by the job board aggregators (i.e. how long will it take for one of these jobs to post)?

This depends on the job aggregator - but all jobs should get posted within 24 hours. Any updates or changes to the posting will also go into effect within 24 hours.

What should I do to ensure my jobs are configured correctly to get posted to the free feeds?
  • Make sure you have received confirmation from your implementation manager that your organization is "live" and that your free feeds have been turned on.
  • Make sure your job is set to post immediately to your Public Job Board on the Posting page of the requisition.
I've been blacklisted from a job aggregator's site. What should I do?
If you've been blacklisted, you should contact support for that specific site. ClearCompany sends the job posting's XML file to these sites, but it's at the discretion of each site whether or not to post your requisition. To avoid blacklisting, follow the guidelines of aggregate job posting sites, such as: Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, Monster, and LinkedIn.
I'm expecting my job to show up on one of these sites but I can't find it. What do I do?

If you have confirmed that your job is set to post to your public career site, reach out to our support team using any of the avenues listed at the bottom of this page to ensure your organization's settings are configured correctly. Otherwise:

  • If you've confirmed that your job is set to post on your public career site and it's not appearing, reach out to our support team to ensure your organization's settings are configured correctly. Alternatively, keep in mind that while ClearCompany provides the XML file to job board aggregators within 24 hours, it's up to the individual aggregators to pick up the feed and post jobs. ClearCompany cannot guarantee the placement of free content on all channels, as paid content is prioritized on these boards.
