Celebrations Features & Benefits

Celebrations are ClearCompany's employee social recognition tool. Key features include:

  • Birthdays, Work anniversaries, New Hire Welcome: Recognize personal milestones and foster a sense of community.
  • Employee Social Recognition: Encourage peer participation and public acknowledgment.
  • Work anniversaries
  • Automatic updates to personal profiles: Ensure seamless integration and visibility.
  • Slack Integration: Enhance communication and engagement.

Setup Celebrations

To set up Celebrations users must have the IT Admin and HR Admin permissions.

Setup Celebrations
  1. Navigate to Tools, then Setup.ToolsandSetup.png
  2. Click Celebrations.Celebrations.png
  3. Celebration TypesCelebration Setup.png
    • New Hire Introductions: Enable new hires to introduce themselves.
      • Send New Hire Announcement Emails: Enable if you would like to send an email to the organization.
    • Employee Anniversaries: Automate recognition for work anniversaries.
    • Employee Birthdays: Automate recognition for work anniversaries.
    • Employee Recognition:  Integrate Shout Outs for public acknowledgment. Employee Recognition will appear in Performance Reviews for the receiver of the Shout Out so others can use the feedback to inform the Review.
      • The recipient of the Shout Out and their manager will receive an email notification of the Shout Out that includes the note of appreciation.
    • Customize Recognition: HR Admin users can replace Shout Outs as their organization's recognition program name, learn more below.
  4. If Slack is integrated, users can select the channel for the celebration.
Customize Recognition

Customizing the recognition name enables organizations to make their internal recognition program their own. Shout Outs is the default name and it is optional to customize it.

To customize the way employees recognize one another, organizations will need to define:

  • Plural Recognition Name: This will be used when referring to sets of employee recognition posts.
  • Singular Recognition Name: This will be used in individual recognition posts. You may need to include an article (a or an).Customize Recognition.png

Send a Shoutout

Best Practices

Follow these best practices to create impactful Shout Outs:

  • Immediate. Send within 48 hours of the action that you are praising.
  • Specific. Share the specifics about what the recipient did to go above and beyond and make an impact.
  • Impactful. Showcase the results of their contributions, and explain the efforts that helped you or the company be more successful.
  • Heartfelt. Personalize the message for genuine appreciation.

To send a Shoutout

  1. Search for the recipient’s name in the employee directory.
  2. Click Compose on the bottom right.Compose.png
  3. Click Send Shoutouts. For information on the other options refer to: Employee Journal.
  4. Compose the Shout Out message.Send Shoutouts.png
  5. Click Send. The Shout Out message will post immediately to the social newsfeed and be added to the recipient’s profile. Both the recipient and the recipient’s manager will receive a copy of the Shout Out via email.
