Resource Overview
There are three primary types of resources in the learning platform:
Faculty resources represent individuals who may serve as instructors or authors of learning objects. Instead of associating objects with individual names, you can use a faculty resource like "Learning & Development Team" or your company's name for consistency.
Use Cases:
- Assigning external instructors to classes
- Setting authorship for learning objects
Facility resources represent physical locations where training or events are held. Examples include conference rooms, auditoriums, or training studios.
Use Cases:
- Scheduling physical locations for classes
- Preventing conflicts in room reservations
Peripheral resources represent equipment or tools needed for training sessions. Examples include projectors, laptops, and furniture.
Use Cases:
- Reserving necessary equipment for training
- Managing shared resources efficiently
