ClearCompany Learning provides administrators with the flexibility to configure essential system behaviors through the Options menu. These settings help streamline user onboarding, enable secure data transfer, and support system integrations that improve platform functionality. Options Overview
The Options menu is categorized into three areas:
- Settings: Control default user experience features such as self-registration, login page design, and time zone preferences.
- Security: Manage platform security features, including password rules, e-signature authentication, and data privacy policies.
- Integrations: Connect ClearCompany Learning with third-party systems using tools like SAML SSO, sFTP exports, Slack, and REST APIs.

To access the Options menu, from the Administration Dashboard, click Settings, then select Options. Below are the options available for each category.
Options: Settings
Self-registration enables users to register independently by completing a form. For more details, refer to: ClearCompany Learning: Self-Registration.
The Completion and Assignments CSV allows administrators to automate the transfer of user completion and assignment data from the ClearCompany Learning platform to a secure FTP (sFTP) server. For more information, refer to: ClearCompany Learning: Completion and Assignments CSV to sFTP.
- Completion CSV to sFTP: Exports completion data in real-time to an FTP site.
- Assignments CSV to sFTP: Exports assignment data daily to an FTP site.
Configure Login Page allows admins to customize the login page for users and groups. Learn more at ClearCompany Learning: Themes.
Superadmins can configure custom login/logout URLs to enhance the user experience. For example, redirect users to a custom landing page upon logout instead of the default login screen.
Custom Login/Logout URL feature requires collaboration with your IT department to set up SAML 2.0 SSO or REST APIs. Learn more at ClearCompany Learning: Themes.
Real-Time Chat Engine enables real-time communication within the platform. Users with the “Send Chat” permission can interact via chat.
System Banner Alert displays a customizable banner message upon user login. Configurable options include:
- Message Text: The content of the alert message.
- Is Banner Dismissible?: Allows users to dismiss the banner if enabled.
- Banner Color: Sets the banner color.
- Start/End Dates: Defines when the banner is displayed.
LMS Email Engine enables customization of the email domain used for system notifications.
Default User Time Zone allows admins to set a default timezone for new users. Individual users can customize their time zones through their profile settings. Bulk updates can also be made using the Bulk User Import tool.
Note: By default, times in the administration interface are displayed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
Organizations can decide to either display the Company Directory or the People tab, not both. The Company Directory displays all active users in the learning platform. Admins can enable the following fields for display:
- Name (First, Middle, Last)
- Avatar
- Contact Information (Email, Phone)
- Job Title
- Group Membership
Barcode Management is an add-on feature enabling the use of barcodes.

Options: Security
Password Management allows admin users to customize the password requirements in the learning platform, which includes:
- Minimum password length.
- Requirement for uppercase, lowercase, numeric, and special characters.
The E-Signature Management enables e-signature completion tracking for document and link learning objects. Features include:
- CAPTCHA requirement.
- User authentication via full name, username, or password.
Admins can customize e-signature statements via Settings > Label Customizations.
E-signature management is helpful for organizations that have users sharing computers, the e-signature option helps ensure that the user completing the Link or Document is the correct user.
- When users are creating a Document or Link learning object, the e-signature statement can be customized.
- Admin can navigate to Settings > Label Customizations and search for the following labels:
- e_signature_completion_delay
- e_signature_management
- e_signature_management_desc
- e_signature_statement
- esig_completion_delay
- esig_statement
The Access Policy Settings allow admins to enable a privacy statement that users must acknowledge upon login. Actions (accept/decline) are tracked in the action log report. Learn more at ClearCompany Learning: Privacy Notices.
Front End Display Name Management allows admins to choose how names are displayed in the platform, such as:
- Initials (e.g., JD)
- First and last name combinations (e.g., John D., J. Doe)
- Custom auxiliary fields
Auto-Expire allows admins to set expiration dates for user access. Specify the number of days before a user is auto-expired.
Options - Integrations
ClearCompany Learning supports a variety of integration options to enhance platform functionality.
Single Sign-On (SSO) into ClearCompany Learning to automatically log in. Users already authenticated to a third-party platform could click a link to automatically log in to ClearCompany Learning without having to type their username and password.
Integrate Google Analytics by entering the tracking ID to monitor system usage.
Enables video coaching assessment integration with Bongo.
The Slack Integration enables the delivery of learning platform notifications directly to Slack.
