Learning Smart Reports empower administrators with a flexible, search-based reporting experience within ClearCompany Learning. Smart Reports allow you to generate dynamic results by entering keywords, names, emails, or tags, offering quick insights into users, learning objects, and assignments without the need to configure complex report templates.

Smart Reports Overview

Smart Reports are ideal for quick lookups, record validation, and bulk exports, particularly when detailed filters are not needed. While these reports do not support complex filtering or time-based sorting, they offer immediate visibility and actionable results across multiple data types such as users, groups, assignments, and completions.

Use Cases

• Verify Individual Progress: Search by user to view completions and generate transcripts or certificates.
• Content Audits: Search by tag or learning object name to evaluate content usage.
• Bulk Certificate Export: Download certificates for all users tied to a specific object.
• Assignment Reviews: Quickly access assignment details by searching assignment batch names.

Rights

In order for a user to see the data visualizations they will need the Smart Report right.

Navigation

1. From the administration dashboard, click Reports, then click Smart Reports.

2. Use the search bar to enter the term you want to report on (e.g., user name, email, tag).

3. Depending on what is searched, the results will display, as seen in the example below.

Smart Reports Functionality

• Quick Lookup of user, object, group-specific data, assignments, or groupings.
• Certificate Download for completions when available (user or object search).
• Transcript Generation for individual users (when supported).
• Excel Export for each tab of data.
• Direct Edit Links to related areas (Users, Groups, Assignments, Objects).
• Filters are limited; there is no date-based filtering.
• Results show all-time data.
• Certificates tied to complex objects (step-based completions) may not be downloadable per step.

• Results may display duplicate entries if the term matches multiple fields.
