Why add interview questions to competencies?

You may want to do this if:

  • You’re using role-based competencies in your scorecards and want more guidance for interviewers.
  • The example questions provided in the competency library are insufficient.
  • You want questions to auto-populate on all related interview scorecards and guides.

Adding questions here ensures that every interviewer has access to consistent, role-specific interview questions.

  • Review and update questions periodically to match evolving role expectations.
  • Test the interview guide after adding questions to ensure they populate correctly.

FAQ

Can I remove or delete a question after adding it?

Yes, questions can be removed from the competency, but any scorecards already assigned will not update retroactively. Only new scorecards will reflect the change.

Do these questions appear automatically on all scorecards?

Yes, any scorecard associated with a role that includes this competency will auto-populate the questions.

Can I customize the guide further for different interviewers?

No, the Interview Guide pulls directly from the competency questions. Customization should be done at the competency or scorecard level.
