When Survey Results are Available
Survey results will take about three hours to populate onto the Results Dashboard within your survey cycle, but results can be downloaded into a CSV within minutes of being submitted by the participant.
If the Results Dashboard is accessed prior to data being available, you will receive a red banner message stating: "The report failed to load". After you see this message, wait a few hours and then return to this dashboard. If the error persists, please reach out to ClearCompany Support.
Navigating to a Specific Survey Cycle
- Navigate to Tools > Performance.
- Select Surveys & Engagement from the dropdown menu.
- Locate the cycle whose results you'd like to view.
TIP: Use the status tabs at the top to find the list of Completed surveys.
How to View Survey Progress
The Overview page within the cycle provides a quick glance at the status, number of participants, completion percentage, and days remaining for a given survey.
- Navigate to the survey in question.
-
By default, the cycle should open on the Overview page.
-
Optional: Use the Department, Office, or Role filters at the bottom to further analyze response rates from participants.
How to View Completed Survey Results
Each survey cycle will compile the participant responses to the individual questions into a single dashboard for review. These results can be filtered or downloaded as a CSV for further analysis. Follow the steps below to learn how to access the Results page.
- Navigate to the survey in question.
-
Click the Results tab at the top of the page.
If a survey was launched using the Change Cadet DE&I template, results can be viewed via the steps below and in the custom Change Cadet Dashboard within the ClearInsights dashboard.
Understanding the Data on the Results Page
Each individual survey question will populate with the count of responses given for each of the available choices. This response data will display as a histogram chart created for each question.
Anonymity of the Data
When the survey cycle is launched, the administrator assigns an Anonymity Setting relating to how much identifiable information about participants is gathered. The option selected will impact how the survey admin will see the survey results. See below for details regarding each setting.
- Anonymous - Results of anonymous surveys cannot be filtered as the office, role, and departments are not collected.
- Non-Anonymous - Results of non-anonymous surveys can be filtered by the office, role, and/or department criteria. When downloading the results as a CSV, the Name and Email of the participant are included with their responses.
- Semi-Anonymous - Office, role, and department information for the participant is collected and can be filtered within the Results page.
Filters
The dashboard can be modified to focus on a smaller subset of data by using the Department, Office, or Role filters located at the top. If no filters are selected, the default is to show responses from all participants.
Download Results
Located in the top left corner, click the Download Results button to obtain a CSV file of the survey results that could be opened into a spreadsheet tool for further analysis.
Compare Results
Understanding how the responses to a single survey change over time, such as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion topic, is an important metric for analyzing your organization's performance in that area. Using the Compare Results feature, the responses from two surveys will be shown in the question charts and available for download.
Only surveys conducted using the same survey template are available for comparing results. Custom surveys will be available for comparison as long as the template did not change between surveys.
When viewing the results per question, response data will be displayed side-by-side and identifiable through the color legend listed underneath the chart.
