ClearInsights Max: Liveboard Grouping and Styling

Organizations with ClearInsights Max can personalize Liveboards using new grouping and styling features. These tools help you organize related content and control how your Liveboard looks and feels, creating a clearer and more engaging reporting experience.

Overview

Liveboard grouping lets you visually organize related Answers and notes into groups. Styling options allow you to customize colors, corners, titles, and descriptions at the Liveboard, group, or Answer level.

You can apply consistent styling across an entire Liveboard or override styles for specific groups or individual Answers to highlight what matters most.

Grouping Answers

To create a new group:

1. Navigate to the Liveboard that you would like to edit, Tools > ClearInsights, then open the liveboard. (click images to enlarge)

    

2. Click Edit. If Edit is unavailable, you do not have permission to edit the Liveboard, or you are not using ClearInsights Max. Contact your ClearCompany representative.

    

3. Hold Shift and select the Answers you want to group, click Group in the toolbar.

    

4. Add a group title and description, if needed.

    

Resize and move Answers or notes in a group

• Increase an Answer or note to the full width of the group.
• Increase the height of an Answer or note beyond the group height. The group expands automatically.
• Move Answers or notes within the group. If content extends beyond the group’s current size, the group resizes automatically.

Ungroup or delete a group

• Ungroup removes the group and places all Answers and notes back onto the Liveboard tab.

• Deleting permanently removes the group and all Answers and notes inside it.

   

Styling Liveboards and Answers

The Styling panel lets you customize the appearance of your Liveboard, groups, and individual Answers or notes.

Style the Liveboard

1. Open the Liveboard you want to edit. Click Edit.

    

2. Hover over the Styling panel button in the top right.

    

3. From the Styling panel, you can:
   1. Color: The default color is gray. You can change the Liveboard color using preset options.
   2. Corner Styling: Corners can be styled as curved (default) or sharp.
   3. Grouping Titles and Descriptions: You can control whether the titles and descriptions for all groupings appear.
   4. Group Descriptions: You can enable or disable the descriptions inside the groups.

   5. Standalone Answer descriptions: Hide descriptions for standalone Answers.

       

Granular Styling Control (for Individual Groups)

You can customize styling for a specific group without affecting the rest of the Liveboard.

1. Select the group. Open the Styling panel.

2. Click Custom properties to unlink the group from the Liveboard styling.

    

For an individual group, you can:

• The color of a specific group can be changed.
• Hide the group title and description.
• Hide descriptions for Answers within the group.
