Apply with LinkedIn - Overview & Setup Guide

For clients who are LinkedIn Recruiter customers (have a LinkedIn Recruiter license/contract), you can enable the Apply with LinkedIn integration on your ClearCompany account. Apply with LinkedIn allows your candidates to quickly and easily use their LinkedIn profile information to apply to jobs located on your public career site. In this article, you will learn more about how the feature works and how to set up this integration.

 

How Candidates use Apply with LinkedIn

Once this feature is enabled for your organization, candidates who are completing a ClearCompany application through your career site will have the option to use their LinkedIn profile information to auto-fill parts of the application.

  1. After inputting their name and email address at the beginning of the application process, the candidate will be able to select the option "Sign In with LinkedIn."

  2. If the candidate is signed in to LinkedIn on their browser, they will be able to confirm that they want to use their profile to apply.
  3. When they click Continue at the bottom of this screen, information about their career and education history pulled from LinkedIn will populate on the relevant fields of their application form, speeding up their application process.

 

How to Enable Apply with LinkedIn

You can enable Apply with LinkedIn if:

 You have an active LinkedIn Recruiter license (Find out how to check which license you have here)
 You have both Recruiter and User Admin permission levels in ClearCompany's system

  1. To get started, log into your LinkedIn Recruiter account in one tab within your browser. In a new tab within the same browser window, log into your ClearCompany account.

  2. Next, navigate to Tools > Setup within ClearCompany. Under the Recruiting Setup column, select LinkedIn Integration.

  3. Click the 'Choose Package' button in the top-right of the page.

  4. Scroll down to the Apply Package section. Expand the 'View Integrations' dropdown menu for more details.

  5. Click the checkbox next to the 'Apply with LinkedIn' option to enable the integration.

  6. Scroll back up to the top of the back and click the 'Save Changes' button to save.

Once these steps are complete, you will need to update your ClearCompany Applications to include the LinkedIn Profile option. Please complete the steps in the section below.

 

Updating Applications to Include Apply with LinkedIn

  1. In ClearCompany, navigate to Tools > Setup > Applications.

  2. Locate an Application Process you wish to add the Apply with LinkedIn feature to and click the 'Edit' button located on the right side of the page.

  3. Open the Resume tab within the application.

  4. Ensure, or check the box to enable, the Allow Resume Upload section is turned on.
  5. Click the checkbox next to the 'Show Apply with LinkedIn' to enable the Apply with LinkedIn feature.

  6. Click the 'Save & Close' button found in the top-right of the page to save your changes.
