What are custom forms?

Custom forms are online, fillable versions of your existing documents—built by our internal team to work seamlessly in your ClearCompany account. These forms are designed to capture data, signatures, and acknowledgments from new hires without requiring them to download or print anything.

If a prebuilt (or "stock") form doesn’t fit your needs, a custom form ensures The process stays fully digital and personalized to your business.

Custom Form Starting Price

    1. Pages 1-3: Basic Starting at $100
    2. Pages 4-6: Standard Starting at $200
    3. Pages 7-9: Enhanced Starting $300
    4. Pages 10-50: Price Varies- Starting at $300

Depending on your contract and Implementation service package, some forms may be included in your contract agreement.

Types of Forms in ClearCompany

All onboarding paperwork in ClearCompany is grouped into structured onboarding packets. Each form type has a specific function:

Type Description Use Case
Document

A static PDF uploaded to your account, electronically acknowledged.

Only a signature or acknowledgment is needed.

Custom Online Form

A fillable version of your document, tailored to collect specific data.

You want a seamless experience for your new hire and need to collect multiple data points.

Stock Online Form Prebuilt, standardized online forms (e.g., W-4, state tax forms). You're collecting common onboarding info that doesn’t require customization.
Sign & Scan A PDF the new hire downloads, signs, and uploads. You want a seamless experience for your new hire and need to collect multiple data points.

How are custom forms used?

Custom forms are used in the ways listed below:

  1. Custom forms are used when internal approval is required. Every online fillable form needs to have an internal approver.
  2. Used when you need to capture information to send to another application.
  3. You need to capture the actual signature from a new hire for your records.
  4. When you want to upgrade from hard copies to an online fillable form.

Custom Form Field Types

Basic Text Entry
This is a basic text entry. A candidate can enter basic text either summary or paragraph.Text.png
Select
The select option will create a dropdown menu with options that can be selected.Select.png
Radio
Radio creates a radio button that can be selected but not de-selected.Radio.png
Checkbox
Checkbox creates a checkbox that can be selected or de-selected.Checkbox.png
State
The state creates a drop-down menu with all of the states listed in it.State.png
Universal vs. Local Variables
A universal variable is data that already exists in the system (such as the candidate’s name or email address) and can be pulled into the form. These have a variable name that is constant no matter what form you want to pull it into. A local variable is something that only exists in the form it is created in. You cannot put the same variable in another form and expect it to pull in information that was captured on the first form.
Signature
Signature creates a section in the form that must be signed in order to be submitted, you can’t have a form without a signature field.Signature.png
