While managing the candidates in one requisition, you may find qualified candidates that are a great fit for other roles at your organization. In these cases, you can easily forward candidates to different requisitions, directly from their candidate profile. Follow the guide below to learn how to forward a single candidate or multiple candidates at once.
Important Note:
Candidates cannot be forwarded to a different requisition if they have answered "No" to the GDPR Future Consideration question. If you have further questions regarding GDPR policy, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
Forward a Single Candidate to Another Requisition
- Navigate to the candidate's profile.
-
Click the Actions menu and select Forward to Another Req.
-
Using the Forward candidates to the following requisition list, search for and select the requisition you wish to send the candidate to.
-
Select the hiring workflow stage this candidate should be assigned to within the other requisition.
-
Optional: Select which Custom Candidate Fields, and any existing answers, should be copied and transferred onto the new candidacy in the other requisition. This option allows for easy sharing of captured information across multiple candidacies in your system.
- Click Forward to submit the candidate.
Now that the candidate has been forwarded, a new profile for that applicant will appear in the selected requisition. This new profile will include applicant attachments, such as the original application and resume file, within the Documents & Links section.

It would be SO SO helpful if you could forward a candidate to a requisition and then immediately open their name in that req.
Current process for this is TOUGH:
-Someone applies to a req they are underqualified for
-I forward them to the appropriate req
-I then have to refresh the page, sometimes twice, click, and then get a whole new tab open without the req details easily available, to move them through the workflow in the new req.
Suggested process:
-Someone applies to a req they are underqualified for
-I forward them to the appropriate req, and can click the green "Candidate has been Forwarded" button to see them IN THAT REQ and adjust their new workflow. OR, update in realtime and allow us to change workflows in a candidate's page regardless of the requisition we clicked through to get to their candidate profile. It's very frustrating to have to navigate ClearCompany exclusively through Requisition, and not have all the notes/activity in one place in a Candidate profile.
When I forward a candidate to a different requisition, their attachments are forwarded, but not their Predictive Index Assessment. Is this an error? It seems odd to be able to forward a candidate but not with their complete profile.
Hi Kimberly,
That seems like it should not be intended functionality. I would reach out to a member of our support team (shoot them a quick email) with this issue. They can investigate further!
Thanks Isabel, I did reach out to Support. Unfortunately, forwarding the Assessment is not a feature ClearCompany offers.
When forwarding a candidate it seems like all previous communication with the candidate is lost even if it's between jobs I'm overseeing, is there a way to keep that com data?
Hey Jennifer, when you forward a candidate to a new requisition, they are considered a new candidate. Communication in the other requisition will not transfer over. Only resume and other documents will transfer over. You will still be able to see the other requisition in the candidate profile.
