This article explains how to connect all Microsoft 365 calendars using the Bulk Calendar Connect tool. Microsoft now requires Graph API for all new calendar integrations. Exchange Web Services (EWS) is no longer supported for bulk calendar connections.
Migrate from EWS to Graph API
Microsoft deprecated ApplicationImpersonation in February 2025. As a result, EWS service accounts can no longer sync Microsoft 365 calendars. If your organization is using EWS:
- Calendar syncing may fail or stop updating.
- You must migrate to Graph API to continue using calendar integration.
For detailed steps, refer to Enterprise Connect for Office 365 and Exchange (EWS).

Prerequisites
To set up or manage your organization’s calendar integration:
- You must have the IT admin user permission in ClearCompany.
- You are a Microsoft Entra ID Global Administrator (or Application Administrator with sufficient permissions)
- You have access to your Microsoft 365 tenant.
Overview
Bulk Calendar Connect (Enterprise Connect) allows your organization to sync Microsoft 365 calendars at scale without requiring each user to individually connect their calendar. This integration:
- Syncs calendar availability (Free/Busy).
- Supports event creation and updates (if enabled).
- Enables video conferencing integration (Teams, etc.).
- Supports room/resource calendars.
Microsoft Notes
Bulk Calendar Connect uses a Microsoft Entra ID application (App Registration) with Microsoft Graph API permissions and the following must be completed:
- Create or Configure a Microsoft Entra App Registration.
- Configure API Permissions.
- Create a Client Secret.
For detailed steps, refer to Enterprise Connect for Office 365 and Exchange (EWS).

Configure the Calendar Integration
After authorization, ClearCompany will begin syncing calendar data.
The integration status will display as:
- Syncing while the connection is in progress.
- Connected when the setup is complete.
You can monitor sync status and review errors from the Calendars setup page. For more details, refer to: Troubleshoot Calendar Sync Issues.
