Create a Test Candidate

Follow the steps below to create a test candidate. 

Why?

You will want to create a test candidate to:

  • Test your application process
  • Test email templates and other candidate communication
  • Practice candidate management tools like forwarding, replying to, and updating workflows

This will allow you to practice and train on the ClearCompany Recruiting tool without sending any miscommunication to a live candidate prior to go-live.

Test candidates can also be used for training purposes if you are showing your managers or other end-users how to use the tool.

How-to:

1. First, head to any open requisition and click on the Candidates tab at the top of the requisition.

2. Click Add Candidates on the right-hand side.

3. Select Manual Entry.

4. Input the following information:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email

Important to note: The email address should be your email or an email you have access to. This ensures:

  • You can receive test communication to see what a candidate would see when you reply and schedule interviews, etc.
  • Rogue test emails are not being sent to active, real candidates.

5. Optional: Input additional data, such as:

  • Candidate source
  • Address
  • Phone

6. When you are done, click Save & Close at the bottom of the screen.

You can now use this test candidate profile to practice managing candidates and train other users.
