Pendo is an in-app messaging tool that allows you to receive important messages through in-app product updates, learn new skills in our software with in-context tutorials, and utilize in-app help content to get answers to your questions faster. To learn more, see this help center article. This article will focus on answering some frequently asked questions regarding how to best utilize the tutorials via the Resource Center. 

 

What is the Resource Center 

The Resource Center is where we host all of our in-app tutorials on-demand. The trainings that appear in the Resource Center will change depending on where you are in the software, customizing your in-app learning experience. The Resource Center is activated when you open the icon on the bottom right of your screen, as seen in the image below.

How do tutorials appear in the Resource Center? 

Tutorials populate in the Resource Center based on where you are within the platform. For example, the tutorial for “Create or Send a Scorecard” will be visible in the Resource Center when you are on the candidate profile. Note that if the Resource Center is open and you navigate to a new page, the trainings available will change based on the content available on that new page. 

 

Why did my tutorial stop in the middle?  

Tutorials are built to advance based on where you click. If the tutorial says to click “Next,” then clicking Next will advance the training. If the tutorial says to click on “xyz” feature to advance, then clicking on that feature will move the training forward. If you click outside of the tutorial, the tutorial will stop. 

 

I can start a tutorial, but I’m missing some content in ClearCompany. What do I do?

If the action you are looking to take in ClearCompany is associated with a template (for example, an offer letter or a scorecard) and you do not yet have a template built, that training will still appear, but the content on the page may not. Once you have the template built, the training will function normally.

 

How can I restart a tutorial? 

Navigate back to where the tutorial started then open the Resource Center by clicking on the question mark icon at the bottom right-hand of the screen and click on the training again.

 

Is there a limit to the number of times a tutorial can be completed?

No, you can complete the tutorial as many times as desired. Your completion does not impact another user’s view of the trainings.
