What is the email signature used for?
Email signatures can be used for essentially any email communication you send from the system. This includes:
- Emails to candidates
- Interview emails
- Offer letter emails
- Onboarding packet emails
How to Set it Up:
- To set an email signature, head to My Account by clicking on your profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of the platform.
- Click the Preferences tab.
- Type in an email signature in the rich text editor available.
- When you're done, click Update.
- In order to include an image in the signature, you will need to have the image hosted somewhere - retrievable by URL. If you do not have one hosted, ClearCompany can host an image for you. Reach out to our Support team. To learn more check out this article.
Formatting and Limitations
You can use the rich text editor to customize the style of your signature, including:
- Font boldness, italics, and color.
- Spacing and multiple lines
- An image/logo
Best Practices
Email signatures must be informative, below are some best practices:
- Keep it short and sweet: you don't want to overcrowd your email signature that there is so much information that a candidate will ignore.
- We recommend adding the following:
- Your full name
- Your company
- Your Job title
- A good idea would be to include your company logo, social media icons, and a link to your company website and blog. You want candidates to engage with your company and it helps people find new ways to contact and follow you.
- Keep colors and fonts to a minimum to ensure your email signature is slick and well-coordinated.
- Design your email signature in a way that draws the eye to the parts you deem the most important
