Restoring a user profile may be necessary if a user who had previous access needs it back, or if a user profile was deleted by accident. This guide will show you how to reactivate a terminated user profile or restore a deleted user profile via User Setup.

Navigate to Tools>Setup>Users.

In the Filter Employees section to the left, adjust the filters to select Deleted or Terminated depending on the current status of that employee.
If there are several deleted/terminated users, it may be helpful to type a name in the search bar to narrow your search results and find a specific employee.

Select the User Profile in the User List which you would like restored. A Mini-Profile will generate in a small pop up window. Select Restore User to put the User Profile back to an Active Status.

In the Dialogue Box that appears, select Yes, Restore This User.
