Checkr: Run a Background Check

Follow the guide below to run a background check using Checkr. 

Before You Get Started: Account Setup

If you haven't set up a Checkr account (or aren't sure if you have), follow the guide here to do so. You will need to have an account set up and verified prior to running any checks through the system.

Run a Check

1. First, head to the candidate profile for the applicant you would like to run a check on.

2. Click Start Background Check on the Background Checks section.

3. Select the type of check you would like to run.

4. Select your email preferences (how would you like to be notified once the check is complete?).

5. When you're done, click Start Background Check.

Managing a Check

Once the background check has been ordered, you can view the status of the report on the candidate dashboard (pending or completed). Once completed, you can click the link on the candidate page which brings you to the Checkr dashboard to view the full report.
