Manage Forums allows Superadmins to manage and edit forums in the learning platform. Forums allow users to interact with one another through posting and commenting, and is a great mechanism for engaging your learners and creating group learning opportunities. Manage Forums Overview

Manage Forums is only accessible to Superadmins. Superadmins can grant a User post access and or moderator access. When creating a forum the following fields have to be created:

1. Categories are subjects for the forums and at least one Category must be created before creating a forum.

2. Forums are the specific topics that will be discussed within the category.

3. Threads are the conversations within a forum, initiated by an initial post and followed by subsequent replies from other users.

4. Posts are the individual messages within a thread, which can be the original statement or a reply to another user's post, admin users can manage posts.

Creating Forums

Navigation Category Forum Thread Posts

1. From the administration dashboard, click Social, then Manage Forums.

1. First, a category must be created, from the Categories tab, click Add Category, in the top-right corner.
   
2. Fill out the fields below:
   • Category Name: Required.
   • Category Description
   • Active 
3. Click Add.
   
4. The Category will be created and admins can provide User and Group Access to the category.
5. When ready click Back to Categories.
6. Click the Forum Tab.

1. Click Add Forum.
2. Fill out the fields below:
   1. Forum Name
   2. Category
   3. Active
3. Click Add.
4. The Forum will be created and admins can provide User and Group Access to the forum.
5. When ready click Back to Forums.
6. Click the Thread tabs.

1. Click Add Thread.
2. Fill out the fields below:
   1. Thread Name
   2. Forum
   3. Top Post
   4. Stick Thread
   5. Active
3. Click Add.
4. The Thread will be created and admins can provide User and Group Access to the forum.
5. When ready click Back to Threads.

From the Posts tab, users can monitor and edit threads or single posts or comments. To delete a post:

1. Click the Posts tabs and click the Pencil Icon on the posts you would like to delete.
2. Click Delete Post.
