Notification Management allows admin users to set preferences on notifications in the learning platform.  In this article, we dive into notifications, how to access them, and how to edit preferences.

Notification Management Overview

Notification Management allows admins to set notifications for actions in the learning platform. When managing notifications users have different navigation types they can enable.

Navigate Notification Types Notification Options

To access Notification Management:

  1. From the administration dashboard, click Social, then Notification Management.Notification Management Option.png
  2. From the Notification Dashboard users will see:
    • Types: The type of notification being toggled on or off.
    • Options: The setting options are available to customize the user experience.
    • Categories: Notification categories define the type of action that was performed.Notification Options .png

Notification Categories

System Event

System Event notifications occur when an action occurs in the system, the following notifications are available:

Training Assigned

Training Assigned and Training Reminder events are managed in the Email Receipts and Assignment Reminder sections on assignment batches.

Training Recommended

Training Reminder

Training Assigned and Training Reminder events are managed in the Email Receipts and Assignment Reminder sections on assignment batches.

Training Overdue Access Request Approved Reply To Comment
Class Event

Class events notifications occur when an action is related to the Class Learning Objects, the following notifications are available:

  • Registered For A Class
  • Wait Listed
  • Registered For Wait List
  • Class Reminder
Bongo
Bongo notifications occur when an action is related to the Bongo Learning Object, the following notification is available: Bongo Submission Graded.
Forum
Forum Events notifications occur when an action is related to the Social feature, Manage Forums, the following notification is available: Forum Post.
Gamification Event

Gamification Event notifications occur when an action is related to the Social feature, Ranks, and Badges, the following notifications are available:

  • Badge Earned
  • Rank Achieved
  • Goal Completed
Admin Opt-In Notifications

Admin Opt-In Notifications are for global options in the learning platform.  These notifications:

  • Only available to SuperAdmin users
  • Users can opt-in to receive notifications for User actions based on the rights assigned.
  • Users must have access to the User based on their group structure.

The following notifications are available:

Custom Report Generated

User Submitted Comment User Rated Object User Started Object
User Completed Object User Assignment Reminder User Pre-Approval Request User Record Added To Queue
Evaluation Pending Sign-off User Class Reminder User Class Registration User Failed a Quiz
User Training Overdue User Badge Earned User Rank Achieved User Bongo Submission

 

Users & Groups

When the notification above has been enabled for users. Users can customize the users or groups that they would like to receive notifications for.

Guide
  1. From the administration dashboard, click Front-End.Front End Option.png
  2. Click Notifications in the bottom left corner.Notification Front End Option.png
  3. This will display the notifications timeline of the notifications sent to the user. 
  4. Users can click the Gear Icon in the right-hand corner.Gear Icon Option.png
  5. Personal Notifications are related to the user's actions.Personal Notification Options.png
  6. Administration Notifications are the notifications above. Click the Gear Icon next to Admin Opt-In Notifications to select the Users and Groups they want to receive these notifications for.Admin OptIon Gear Icon .png
