The dashboard supports administrative and reporting workflows that may not occur directly within the ClearCompany ATS.
From the dashboard, you can:
- Order background checks outside of the ATS.
- Monitor pending background check requests.
- View completed screening reports.
- Resend candidate invitation emails.
- Submit batch orders.
- Run reporting and analytics.
- Manage adverse action processes.

Most recruiting workflows begin in ClearCompany. The external dashboard is commonly used for administrative review, reporting, or specialized screening workflows.
How to Access the Background Checks Portal
You can access the Background Checks portal directly from ClearCompany using single sign-on (SSO).
To open the portal:
- Go to Tools in ClearCompany and select Background Checks.
This opens the external dashboard in a new window.
Direct dashboard access
You can also access the portal directly: https://allclearscreening.instascreen.net.
After placing a background check order, the user who initiated the request receives an email confirmation containing login details and a link to the dashboard.
If you do not have permission to access the portal, contact backgroundchecks@clearcompany.com.
What you can do in the dashboard
The dashboard is organized into several tabs. Each tab contains tools for managing different aspects of the screening process.
Order Tab
The Order tab is used to manage new screening requests and monitor orders before they move to the research stage. This section is commonly used to review candidates who have not yet completed required authorization forms.
- New order: Create a background check request directly from the dashboard.
- Batch order: Submit multiple background check requests at once. You submit the batch to the background checks team, and they will process it because it requires specific headers and information.
- Draft orders: View saved orders that have not yet been submitted.
- Applicant pending: View applicants who have not completed required forms.
- Applicant ready: View applicants whose background check orders are ready for processing. Do not open reports in this stage, as it may cause data loss. During this step, we review reports for errors and schedule drug screenings as needed.
- API ready: Orders submitted through integrations that are ready for processing.
Reports tab
The Reports tab allows you to view the status of background checks that are currently processing or already completed.
This section also includes tools for locating specific reports using advanced search criteria.
- Pending reports: Background checks are currently in progress.
- Completed reports: Finalized background screening reports.
- Disclosures queue: Track disclosure and authorization documents.
- Adverse Action Management
- Pull Copies of Signed Authorization Forms
- Review Applicant Portal Messages
Admin tab
The Admin tab contains configuration settings for managing your organization's background screening account.
Access to this section may be limited based on user permissions.
- Manage client: Configure client-level settings.
- Manage QuickApp: Manage candidate authorization workflows.
- View invoices: Access billing and invoice records.
Utilities tab
The Utilities tab provides reporting tools that help organizations evaluate their screening activity and compliance performance. These tools offer deeper insights into how background checks are being used across your organization.
Reporting tools
- Custom reports
- Decision report
- Hit ratio
- Product utilization
- Status reporting
- Time service
These reports help organizations analyze screening activity, turnaround times, and review patterns.
