What is Performance?

The Performance Module consists of three key features:

Performance

Our Performance Management module empowers both managers and users to initiate performance reviews for tracking and monitoring individual employees, departments, offices, or the entire organization.

Goals

Our Goal tools facilitate the creation, updating, alignment, and completion of goals. This helps users set and track their objectives, fostering engagement in achieving both long-term and short-term goals.

Surveys & Employee Engagement

ClearCompany's Employee Engagement Surveys are designed to engage employees and provide valuable insights. Employee engagement surveys are pivotal to your company's success, offering employers a means to understand employee sentiments and encourage open communication. Diverse survey types enable leaders to identify trends, pinpoint challenges, and comprehend the critical issues their teams face. Moreover, they aid organizations in assessing their workplace culture's alignment with their mission, vision, and values.

Performance- Scales

Scales are used to rate questions or prompts. Whether it's on a scale of five stars, from 1-10, or a satisfaction rating, rating scales are commonly employed. Therefore, it's no surprise that effective employee performance reviews can incorporate a rating scale. While you might lean towards using a traditional five-point scale, it's worth noting that this choice could have unintended consequences. Performance- Sections

Sections represent the actual questions or prompts that users are required to answer. We offer a range of section types, and below are the available options:

  1. Standard Section
  2. Q&A Section
  3. Goal Review Section
  4. Goal Planning
  5. Role-Based Competency Review Section
  6. Company Competency Review Section

To learn more about each section, check out this help center article.

Performance- Templates

Templates combine sections and scales to create a structured framework for various types of performance reviews. Different templates can be designed for distinct review types and employee categories, such as hourly or non-exempt employees, individual contributors, or people managers/leaders. These templates guide the assessment of an employee's job performance, accomplishments, strengths, and areas for improvement.

To learn more about templates, check out this help center article.

Performance- Workflows

A performance review workflow outlines the systematic process and steps followed by an organization to conduct performance evaluations and assessments of its employees. This workflow typically defines the stages, responsibilities, and actions involved in the performance review process. When creating performance workflows in ClearCompany, consider the following three aspects:

Stages

Stages represent the actions performed at each step in the review process. For example, the "Review Stage" is where a user evaluates the subject, essentially answering the established questions. There are three types of stages: Review, Approval, and Timed Stage, and these are explained in detail in this article.

Notifications

Notifications are alerts sent to users as the review progresses or commences. You can customize the content of these emails for each stage and choose between repeat reminders or single reminders. Detailed information about notifications can be found in this article.

Submission Terms

Submission Terms are statements that users must agree to while completing their review. There are two types of submission terms you can create: Custom or Electronic Signature. These are explained in more detail in this article.

The last reviewer of the review's workflow provides the data that will be used for many reporting features, like the 9-box. To learn more about workflows, check out this help center article.
