There are three options to translate an application to multiple languages in ClearCompany. In this article, we cover the steps to provide translations to your applications.

Translation Options

You can add the following languages to your applications. If you do not see all of these options, please reach out to your ClearCompany Representative. 

  1. English (Default)
  2. Spanish
  3. French
  4. Italian

Please note:

System fields like "Submit Application" will automatically be updated to the target language.

How it works:

When you create an application process with a translation, the candidate will be able to select the language in which they apply when they begin filling out the application form. They will be able to toggle between the supported languages as they complete the form.

How to Add Translations

Please note candidate responses are only available in the language in which they are submitted.

  1. Create the English version of your application, by navigating to Tools> Setup> Applications.Setup- Applications.png
  2. Select the application you would like to include additional languages.Apply Process List.png
  3. Navigate to the Settings tab.Application - Setting Tab.png
  4. Scroll to Supported Languages, and select the language (s) you would like this application to be translated into.Applications - Supported Languages.png
  5. Save and Exit from your application.

Translating Applications

  1. On the Apply Process List page, click Translations on the application in question.Apply List- Translations.png
  2. Select Source Language: English.Source Language.png
  3. Select Target Language: Spanish, French, or Italian. Target Language.png
  4. You will then be prompted to translate all field labels.Translations.png
  5. The order of these fields is not reflective of the order in which they exist on the application form.
  6. If you leave a field blank, it will pull from the English value.
  7. When you are done, click Save, and make sure to test your application.

Keep in Mind

  1. This will include all of the application fields and the custom fields you have created.
  2. System fields will be automatically translated to the target language.
