Proliant is a trusted payroll and workforce solutions provider that delivers a comprehensive suite of HR technology and services, including payroll, onboarding, benefits administration, time and labor management, performance management, and human resources tools. ClearCo partners with Proliant to enable organizations to access ClearCo’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS) directly through the Proliant platform. This partnership helps organizations streamline recruiting and onboarding workflows while maintaining a centralized HR experience.

Overview

Proliant serves as a full Human Resources Information System (HRIS) provider for its clients. As part of its offering, Proliant resells ClearCo Recruiting in two packages, Basic and Advanced, and embeds the ClearCo ATS experience directly into the Proliant platform using secure iFrame technology. For more information, refer to: Proliant.

Mutual ClearCo and Proliant customers can use the integration to:

  • Manage recruiting activities in ClearCo.
  • Send new hire information from ClearCo into Proliant Onboarding.
  • Access ClearCo ATS through the Talent Acquisition tab within the Proliant platform.
  • Maintain a more unified recruiting and onboarding experience.

Note

The integration between ClearCo and Proliant is a one-way integration. Information flows from ClearCo Recruiting into Proliant Onboarding after a candidate is hired. ClearCo does not pull employee or onboarding data back from Proliant.


How the Integration Works

Integration Flow

The Proliant integration uses an API connection between ClearCo Recruiting and Proliant’s onboarding system.

Supported Workflow

  1. Recruiters and hiring teams manage candidates within ClearCo ATS.
  2. Once a candidate reaches the hired stage, users can initiate onboarding from the candidate profile.
  3. Candidate information is transferred from ClearCo to Proliant Onboarding.
  4. The onboarding process is then completed and managed within Proliant.

Important

  • Roles, departments, offices, and users must be configured and maintained within ClearCo.
  • Organizations should review their user and organizational structure setup carefully to help avoid duplicate records between systems.
  • Proliant controls onboarding form fields, templates, and dropdown values.
  • Any onboarding field updates must be made directly within Proliant.

Proliant New Hire Data Transfer

Once a candidate is marked as hired in ClearCo, users with the Onboarding Coordinator permission can initiate a data transfer to Proliant Onboarding.

Setup and Configuration:

  • The integration is established by the implementation team during the creation of an organization setup.
  • Company codes are assigned individually to each organization as part of its multi-branding structure (Parent and Child Organizations).
  • Certain candidate profile information automatically populates in the onboarding form; remaining required fields must be completed manually.
  • Position information cannot be pulled directly from the requisition — position values and dropdown options must be maintained within Proliant.
  • The onboarding form is an iFramed interface controlled by Proliant; organizations cannot modify the available fields or dropdown options within ClearCo

FAQ

Does Proliant send employee data back into ClearCo?

No. The integration is one-way only. Data flows from ClearCo into Proliant onboarding.

Can onboarding fields be customized within ClearCo?

No. Onboarding fields, templates, and dropdown values are controlled by Proliant.

Why can’t a user see the Proliant Onboarding button?

The user likely does not have the required Onboarding Coordinator permission. If the user was updated to provide the permission, they will need to log out and back in after receiving the Onboarding Coordinator permission for it to take effect.

Does hiring a candidate automatically create a ClearCompany user account?

No. User accounts must be created manually when platform access is needed. For example, a user account may need to be manually created when:

  • A newly hired employee requires access to the ATS as part of the HR or recruiting team.
  • The organization has purchased additional ClearCo modules, such as Learning Management System (LMS) or Performance & Goals (P&G).
  • Hiring managers or administrators require ongoing system access beyond onboarding.
