Removing a User From a Device

Pre-Requisite: Adding a User to a Device

This article shows you how to remove an employee/user from the device they have been assigned to.

Why would you want to remove a user from a device?

  • The user has left the company
  • They might have transitioned into a different role
  • They are using a loaner laptop/computer at the moment

 

1. Navigate to Tools-World of Work-Devices & Equipment

2. Locate the device you wish to make available using the filters on the bottom left of the page.

3. Under status, click "Assigned" to open up a drop-down with three choices.

4. Select Available from the list.

5. A window will pop up that will allow you to add notes to the device and confirm your selection.

6. To confirm that you want to make this device available and remove the user from that device click Mark Available.

7. The user has now been removed and unassigned from the device.
