Follow

This guide will show you how to ensure your Windows 10 OS is set up to use the Microphone and Camera of your choice. Having these devices set up correctly will make the recording of Application Video Questions possible when using Microsoft Edge.

Set-up the Microphone in Windows 10

1. Go to Start>Settings (Gear Icon)>Sound. In the Choose Your Input Device Dropdown. Ensure the Microphone you would like to use is selected.

Note: Can't find your Microphone in the dropdown? Ensure the device's connection is secure and then select Troubleshoot. This will run the Sound Troubleshooter and identify any issues with the device's connection. If any issue(s) are found, you will get a prompt identifying the issue(s). If the Troubleshooter can fix the issue(s), it will do so automatically.

Note: You can test your Camera via the Window 10 Camera App. Go to Start>Camera in the App List to access and see how your Camera is working, as well as which device (if you have more than one Camera) is selected by default.

The Camera App can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store for free if you do not currently have this App installed on your device.
