Goal Settings

Before getting started with goals in your system you will want to make sure that your Goal Notifications and Goal Alignment settings are properly set. In this article, we cover the settings and notifications you are able to modify in ClearCompany.

Goal Notification Settings

ClearCompany can send out a variety of notifications to different users throughout the lifecycle of a goal, project, task, or meeting. Goal Admins can customize notifications in the setup menu.

Navigating to Notification Settings

1. Click Tools, then Setup.
2. Click Notifications.
3. Under Goals, select the notification you wish to view or modify.
4. A notification can be sent to the following:
   • Activity Feed: Selecting a user from this list will place a notification on the Latest feed for that user.
   • Immediate Email: Selecting a user from this list will send a notification to that user's email address, set in User Setup. To modify the email that gets sent, click on Immediate Email, highlighted in blue at the top of the list.

Goals System Setting

To modify your company's Goal notification settings, see the guide below.

1. Navigate to Tools and then Click Setup.
2. Click Goal Settings.
3. Below are the settings you will be able to modify.

Goal Setting	Description
Goal Status Update Reminder Notifications	You can enable the notification when a Goal Status Update is needed. Selecting Enable Notifications will prompt the system to send reminders to system users periodically to update the status of their current goals. You can also toggle how frequently you would like these reminders to go out.
Goal Feedback Reminder Notifications	Selecting Enable Notifications will prompt the system to send reminders to managers periodically to provide feedback on direct reports' goals. You can also toggle the frequency of these reminders. You can select to enable notifications for goal feedback, the options are: Every Week Every Two Weeks Every Four Weeks
Fiscal Year	You can customize your company's fiscal year. Users will be prompted to create new goals at the beginning of each fiscal year. If you run performance reviews, this may affect some review cycles with Goal Alignment sections.
Manager Feedback	You can select if current managers can see the previous manager's feedback.
Default Goal Visibility	Toggle the default goal visibility selection. Users will still be able to change this when they create and edit their goals.
