Onboarding U.I. Overview

ClearCompany has made some changes to the system to improve the user interface and update it to a more modern look and feel. These changes have some key features and changes to create the onboarding packet. In this article, we cover what those changes are.

Onboarding Differences

  1. A new packet selection view in our updated UI.
  2. We have removed the ability to add an SSN while onboarding a candidate.
  3. Email and phone are optional - if neither value exists, the hire will be sent to the onboarding coordinator.
  4. The new hire's start date will default to today but can be changed to a past or future date.
  5. Due dates and approver due dates can be added to the packet.
    • Dates default to the new hire date.
    • Dates can be set individually.
    • If the hire date is changed, new hire due dates, approver due dates, and assignee due dates will change to reflect the new hire date UNLESS the individual date has already been changed below.
  6. A task can be removed by clicking the “X” on the task line. It can be pulled back in by clicking “undo”. If the user does not have the user preference “Modify Onboarding Packets” enabled, they cannot remove tasks.

When navigating back into an onboarding packet to edit you will see the old U.I.

Onboarding Changes F.A.Q.

When can I add the SSN for a new hire if it has been removed?

When going into the packet after it has been created, you will see the SSN field as you saw it before. The SSN field can also be edited from the employee profile by navigating to Tools>Setup>Users> View User Profile.

Are there any more changes in the future?
Yes! The team is working to update the rest of the onboarding platform to this updated U.I. Stay Tuned!
