Performance System Settings allow you to modify different aspects of how performance reviews are run for your organization in ClearCompany. Specifically, Performance System Settings can modify the foul language filter and system-wide email notifications for performance reviews.

Accessing the Performance Settings Page
- Navigate to Tools, and select Setup.
- Click Performance Settings option under the Performance Setup column.

Foul Language Filter
Check this box to enable the foul language filter on your performance reviews.
Information- A foul language filter is available to help keep comments made in performance reviews civil. Check this box to enable the foul language filter on your performance reviews.

Once selected, the Edit Filter button will appear. Click to view and modify the list of words that should trigger the foul language filter, if used in a performance review.

If the foul language filter is enabled and there are words that meet this criteria in a comment, employees will receive an error message when trying to submit a performance review. The error message will call out the specific words used to make it easy for the user to find and replace them.

Email Templates
The Email Templates contained in this section will apply to all performance reviews launched for your organization through ClearCompany (these are sometimes referred to as System Emails). Clicking on each template name will allow you to modify the contents of that specific template.

Open the menu below to view which system email templates can be modified, along with a brief description of when they are sent to participants.
System Email Templates- Review Due Soon: Sent when a user has an upcoming review stage due date.
- Review Overdue: Sent when a user has missed the deadline for a review stage.
- 360 Review Due Soon: Sent when a user has an upcoming review stage due date.
- 360 Review Overdue: Sent when a user has missed the deadline for a review stage.
- Approval Stage Rejected: Sent to a user whose review was rejected by an approver.
- *Objection Stage Rejected: Sent to a user whose objected review stage was rejected.
- *Objection Stage Approved: Sent to a user whose objected review stage was approved.
- Review Unlocked by HR: Sent to a user whose review stage has been unlocked by a performance administrator.
- Reviewer Declined To Participate: Sent to the performance administrator when a 360 review participant declines to participate in the review.
- Cycle Closing Soon: Sent to the performance administrator of a review cycle prior to the close of the cycle.
- Pending Assignment Digest: Sent to the performance administrator of an ongoing, anniversary-based review. An example email would include the request to confirm upcoming 30, 60, or 90-day reviews for new hires.
- Workflow Stage Owner Added: Sent to a review participant when they have been added to a workflow stage for an active review, notifying them that they will be participating in the review. This is only sent when a workflow stage assignment is changed on a review form after the review has launched.
- Workflow Stage Owner Removed: Sent to a review participant when they have been removed from a workflow stage in an active review. In the example above, this would get sent to the participant who was replaced when the assignment is changed.
- 360 Reviewer Removed: Sent a review participant a notification alerting them they have been removed from a 360 review.
*These stages are no longer an option this template will only apply to any reviews that are created in Legacy Review.

Cycle Notifications
Check here to enable an email notification that will be sent to the subjects of incomplete reviews two days before a review cycle closes.
