ADP Canada Bi-Directional Connector

ClearCompany has expanded our partnership with ADP by becoming one of the very first partners to offer a Bi-Directional Connector on the ADP Canada marketplace. This article highlights the differences between our ADP Canada and ADP US connectors.

Overview

The ClearCompany Workforce Now Bi-Directional Connector is now available for purchase from either the ADP Canada marketplace or the ADP US marketplace. The majority of the setup and configuration is identical between the two, so please see here for an overview on our Workforce Now Bi-Directional Connector.

Regardless of which marketplace the connector is purchased from all available functionality remains the same, however there are some differences in your ClearCompany experience and the default new hire transfer integration when purchased form the Canada marketplace.

Primary differences in ADP Canada Connector

When the connector is purchased from the APD Canada marketplace, a couple of ClearCompany account settings will default to Canada specific data, including:

  • Displaying currency in CAD as opposed to USD
  • Government ID is displayed as SIN rather than SSN

Additionally, for a client who hires only in Canada, the new hire transfer integration will function slightly differently. Those differences are:

  • Tax data is not available to send for Canadian hires at this time
  • For Direct Deposit, Bank Number and Branch Number will send, rather than Routing Number

Cross Border Hiring

No matter which marketplace your Workforce Now Bi-Directional Connector is purchased from, if you hire in both the US and Canada the new hire transfer integration will be able to send both hire types. 

For this setup, your ClearCompany primary contact or a member of ClearCompany support will assist you in creating two separate onboarding packets, one containing US specific forms and one with Canada specific forms, which will then determine how we send the data to ADP.
