Slack Integration Overview

The Slack Integration allows platform notifications to be delivered directly to users via Slack. After setup, users can opt in to receive training updates, reminders, and other system notifications through their connected Slack accounts.

• Superadmins with Global access can set up the integration.
• Users can connect their accounts individually.

Setting Up Slack Integration

The Slack Integration is included by default and does not require an additional purchase. After setup, users can individually choose to connect their Slack accounts to receive notifications.

To set up the Slack Integration:

1. From the administration dashboard, click Settings, then Options.
2. Click Integrations.
   
   
3. Scroll down to find and enable the Slack Integration
4. Complete the fields below:
   • Slack Bot Name: Enter a name for your Slack bot.
   • Slack Bot Avatar Image: Upload an image for the bot avatar.

     • If no image is uploaded, the default learning image will be used.

     • Accepted file formats: .gif, .jpg, .png.

     • Recommended dimensions: 100px by 100px.

5. Click Save.

Once the Slack Integration is enabled, users can connect their Slack accounts and manage preferences.

1. Navigate to the Front End, from the administration dashboard, click Front-End.
2. Click Notifications.
   
3. Click Notification Settings.
   
4. Select Connect to Slack.
5. Sign in to the Slack workspace and review and allow the requested permissions.
   
6. Once connected, under the "Notify via Slack" section, select the notifications to enable.

Note:

Users can disconnect the integration by navigating to the Connect button. When users hover over it will change to Disconnect Slack.
