What are AI Assisted Job Descriptions?

ClearCompany’s AI-Assisted Job Description tool allows anyone with permission to edit and write job descriptions the ability to create specific job descriptions tailored to the role in question. This tool is automatically enabled for any organization that uses the recruiting tool.

Permissions

Anyone who is able to create requisitions can utilize the AI Assistant when creating a job description in the recruiting tool.

Getting Started 

  1. Start by creating a requisition. Note: it is possible to edit an existing requisition and utilize this tool as well.
  2. Select a Job Title for the requisition from the drop-down box. Please note that a Job Title is required in order to use the AI Assistant. 
  3. Next, click “Get Me Started” to populate text in the job description text editor.

Rewriting a Job Description

  1. If desired, refine results by clicking "Help Me Improve" and opening up the AI chat window.

  2. Add more details about the Job Description in the chat.
  3. Note

    You can enter as many improvements as you'd like in the chat, but if you'd like to see incremental changes to your job description and have the ability to undo specific changes, it is suggested to click "Rewrite Job Description" after each improvement to submit one rewrite at a time.

  4. Once complete, send the message in the chat.

  5. If done, press “Rewrite Job Description.

Undo and Undo All

If desired, the improvements to your job description can be undone.

Undo: Clicking Undo will remove one of the improvements added by the prompt.

Undo All: Clicking Undo All will erase your job description so you can start over.

Considerations

It is best practice to review anything that is created by the AI tool to ensure that the job description is accurately characterized.

You may need to specifically prompt the AI on the following questions:

  • What are the specific job duties and responsibilities?
  • What qualifications and certifications do you require
  • What’s the compensation package?
  • Is it a remote position, hybrid, or full-time in the office?

In general, before you start, you'll want to have a clear picture of the position and all that it entails. The AI tool can save you hours of writing, but make sure to add in what makes your company unique.
