Requisition Settings

The Requisition settings below allow admins to customize certain aspects of requisitions created in ClearCompany. Selecting a specific setting will turn on that setting for your organization's entire ClearCompany account.

Enable A-Method Requisitions

When enabled, users can choose the A-Method requisition flow—a guided, step-by-step experience for creating requisitions.

If disabled, only the Simple Form will be available. For more information, refer to:

Creating a Job Requisition: Simple Form
Creating a Job Requisition: A-Method of Hiring

Mark Role As Required

When Role As Required is enabled, the role will be required when creating or updating a requisition. When the setting is enabled, enforce Role selection for:

  • New requisitions
  • Updates to existing requisitions that do not have a Role selected
  • Auto-populate the Role field when a Role template is selected

Auto Reply Email Applications to Closed Requisitions

If an application is submitted via email to a closed requisition, an email is sent to the applicant informing them that the requisition is closed.

If disabled, candidates who apply via email to a closed requisition will not receive an automated email informing them that the position is closed. Users can edit the email template and customize it based on their organizational needs.

Email Example

Auto Populate Requisition IDs

Auto-populate Requisition IDs allows requisitions to have their IDs auto-generated, and users will be unable to edit these IDs. If this is disabled, requisitions can be created with custom IDs entered manually by the requisition creator.

Requisition Approval By Email

When Requisition Approval by Email is enabled, when users are added as requisition approvers will receive an email allowing them to approve or reject the requisition without needing to log in to ClearCompany. If this setting is Disabled, Requisition approvers will need to log in to ClearCompany to approve or reject requisitions assigned for their approval.

Customizable Reporting Criteria

For Time-to-Fill and Time-to-Hire reports, you can define specific events and data points that will be used in the 'Time-to' calculations.

Time To Fill Report Start Date

Time To Fill Report Start date allows users to select the event date to be used as the Start Date for Time-to-Fill calculations.

The available options are:

  • Requisition Open Date: The date the requisition was opened.
  • Requisition Started Approval: The date the requisition started approval.
  • Requisition Approved: The date the requisition was fully approved.
  • Requisition Publicly Posted: The date the requisition was first posted publicly.

Time To Fill Report End Date

Time to Fill Report End Date allows users to select the event date to be used as the End Date for Time-to-Fill calculations.

The available options are:

  • Candidate Entered Hired Macro Stage: The date the candidate was moved into a workflow within the Hired macro stage
    • Note: This includes moving a candidate into any micro workflow stage within the Hired macro stage. For more information on Micro/Macro stages, and to learn how to review your organization's setup, for more information refer to Create and Manage Hiring Workflows.
  • Candidate's Hire Date: The Hire Date listed on the candidate's onboarding packet
  • Candidate's Offer Letter Acceptance Date: The date the candidate signed and accepted their offer letter

Time To Hire Report End Date

The Start Date for Time-to-hire calculations is always the date that a candidate was created in the requisition. This is not editable at this time.

Time to Hire allows users to select the date to be used as the End Date for Time-to-Hire calculations. The available options are:

  • Candidate Entered Hired Macro Stage: The date the candidate was moved into a workflow within the Hired macro stage
    • Note: This includes moving a candidate into any micro workflow stage within the Hired macro stage. For more information on Micro/Macro stages and to learn how to review your organization's setup, for more information refer to Create and Manage Hiring Workflows.
  • Candidate's Hire Date: The Hire Date listed on the candidate's onboarding packet
  • Candidate's Offer Letter Acceptance Date: The date the candidate signed and accepted their offer letter

ADP SmartCompliance (WOTC) Settings

For organizations utilizing ADP SmartCompliance, users can both define the event that triggers a WOTC Hire Call to ADP and update their list of ADP WOTC Organization IDs.

Shared Candidate Data

The Shared Candidate Data provides Recruiters and Hiring Managers with visibility into key candidate details that are listed in other requisitions. Admins can customize which types of information should be shared between candidate records. As a reminder, when this setting is not configured, your ClearCompany Recruiting system will only share applicant files (such as Resumes, Applications, and Cover Letters) between candidate records.

Data Visibility:

Only information that you have permission to see in related candidacies will be visible to you. This includes both standard user permission access and considerations for clients who utilize Custom Data Wall Groups.
