ClearCompany provides Stock Federal W-4, W-9, and Form I-9 for clients to use in their Onboarding processes. Below you will find the current version release date, the date that ClearCompany uploaded that version of the form for client use, and upcoming updates expected for each form.
ClearCompany clients using these stock forms will have their forms automatically updated both in their Online Forms options and within their New Hire Packet Templates at the time when the updates to the form have been digitized into online fillable form format.
ClearCompany regularly checks the publishing entities for updates and revisions. However, if there are new or updates to the below forms which you do not see planned or noted below, please do not hesitate to reach out to Support or your CSM to have those updates scheduled.

How to read these tables:
- Current Version Release Date refers to when the publishing entity released the currently available form.
- Current Version Available refers to the year that the currently available form was released.
- Current Version Upload Date refers to when ClearCompany updated the online version of the form for clients.
- Current Version Expiration refers to the date that the Form I-9 is set to expire.

Upcoming Updates refers to any expected upcoming updates to the form.
- When an update is expected, but no details have been provided by the publishing entity, TBD will be used until more information has been provided.
- Any pertinent notices or delays in releases provided by the publishing entity will be included below a form's respective table.
- An estimated date of completion will be provided in this column based on when ClearCompany anticipates updating client accounts with an updated or revised form.

Notice (10/2023):
The new Federal I-9 has been added to client organizations, and has automatically replaced the previous version in all New Hire Packet Templates in which it was included.
Notice (08/2023):
The current Federal I-9 has been extended through October 31st. We anticipate having a new form ready and replacing the current one by that time.
Notice (11/2022):
The current Federal I-9 has been extended through July 31st, 2023.
Notice (10/2022):
The USCIS has not released a new version of the I-9 as of yet. Per USCIS, keep using the form with an expiration date of 10/31/2022 until further notice. Once ClearCompany sees an update from USCIS, a new form will be created and updated in organizations packets.
Notice (04/2020):
The USCIS released a revised version of the Form I-9 on January 31, 2020 and on March 20, 2020 the DHS released a procedural change due to Covid-19 that necessitated additional revision to our new form. ClearCompany releaseed the form to client accounts in April 2020.
The updated version has a slight modification to the Additional Information box from previous ClearCompany online I-9s in order to accommodate the temporary procedural changes announced by the DHS due to Covid-19. The 2017 version of the form can continue to be used by employers according to the USCIS Notice until April 30, 2020. You can find more information here.
