Source of Hires Report Purpose

The primary purpose of the report is to optimize recruitment spend by identifying which sourcing channels yield the most cost-effective hires. It helps your organizations refine their sourcing strategies by providing data-driven insights into which channels are most successful in attracting high-quality candidates, leading to more efficient and productive talent acquisition efforts.

What kind of questions can this report answer?

  1. Which sourcing channels have been more successful in generating hires?
  2. How do conversion rates from different sources compare and which sources have the highest conversion rates?
  3. Is there a correlation between the volume of candidates and the quality of hires it produces?
  4. Are there any trends or changes in the effectiveness of source channels over time?

Source of Hires Report: Default Filters

  1. Time Frame: Last 360 days.
  2. Data Source: Hire Date.

Important Note: The data source in which this report is filtered cannot be changed; however, you can adjust the report's time period by accessing the filter option on the left side of the screen.

Candidate Name

This data point is populated from the candidate profile. This is either when they complete the application or if a resume is uploaded.

Hire Date
Depending on your system settings, this data point will be either the onboarding packet hire date, when the candidate is moved into a Hired Macro Workflow stage, or the offer letter acceptance date.
Role
This data point is populated from the requisition role dropdown field.
Gender

This data point is populated from the Gender System question that can be added to the application process. If the gender system question is not included in your organization's application(s) this column will not be populated.

Source Category

This data point is populated from the candidate profile. The ClearCompany System tracks how a candidate comes into the system. Sources such as your company's public job board, ClearCompany's automatic feeds to Indeed, Glassdoor, etc. referrals, or any custom candidate sources.

Department
This data point is populated from the requisition in the administrative info section.
Source Detail

This data point looks at the specific source from the candidate profile.

For instance, the source category might be "referral" but the source detail would be "referred by [Employee Name]".

Recruiter
This data point is populated from the requisition in the hiring team section.
Current Workflow Stage
This will be populated based on the current micro workflow stage a candidate is in. These stages are created and determined by your organization.
Budget
This data point is populated from the requisition in the administrative info section.
Office
This data point is populated from the requisition in the administrative info section.
Requisition Title
This data point is populated from the requisition job title field.
Requisition ID
Depending on your system settings, this data point will be either the auto-populated requisition ID or the user-provided requisition ID.
Candidate Custom Field
This data point will be extracted from the custom field(s) associated with a candidate, which has been established through the Custom Fields Setup process and granted permission for inclusion in reporting.
Requisition Custom Fields
This data point will be extracted from the custom field(s) associated with the requisition, which has been established through the Custom Fields Setup process and granted permission for inclusion in reporting.

What is the difference between source category and source?

Source Category provides a high-level classification.

Source offers more detailed information about the specific source.

For instance, the source category might be "referral" but the source detail would be "referred by [Employee Name]

For another example, the source category might be "forwarded" but the source detail would be "Forwarded by [User Name]".
