What is Pendo
Pendo is an in-app messaging tool. Pendo allows you to: receive important messages through in-app product updates; learn new skills in our software with in-context tutorials; and utilize in-app help to get answers to your questions faster! Ways you may encounter Pendo in ClearCompany include the following:
Product Update: When we have new products launching or exciting new features to tell you about, we will let you know via a Product Update. The message will pop up on your screen. You will have the option to “Remind Me Later” if you’d like to read the information at a later time, or you can read about the update and click “Okay, got it” to remove the update from your view.
Tutorials: If you want to brush up on your skills related to a particular area of our software, we have a set of in-app tutorials available so you can learn the skill without leaving our software. Note that a majority of these in-app tutorials are activated via the Resource Center, which also hosts links to our training center, help center, and live chat as well. See more here.
In-App Help: We want you to get answers as fast as possible and have built in-app messages to help answer your questions without leaving our software. Look for the (i) button and click on the message to learn more about a particular area of our tool.
How to Use Pendo
Product Updates: These messages will pop up on an as-needed basis. We will launch these before we bring you new features to alert you to any changes. You can always click the “Remind Me Later” button and the message will be temporarily dismissed. If you click “Okay, got it” the content will be dismissed.
Tutorials: If you want to learn how to use a feature for the first time, utilize the Resource Center to activate a tutorial and use the step-by-step guide to build your skills. Additionally, if you are newly implementing our tool you may have particular tutorials assigned to you.
In-App Help: Keep an eye out for the (i) button in our software- wherever we have one of these icons, we will have additional help for you to access related to that part of our tool.

Why should I read these pop-ups?
These messages contain important information about product updates and can provide help navigating the tool. Using these messages will save you time in the long run!
What are other users in my organization seeing when they log in?
We serve content to each user who logs into the system. When users first log in, they will see the Pendos available for their permissions, including product announcements and new walkthroughs.
I like the tutorials, but I’d like something more specific for our organization. Can I customize the tutorials to mirror our company’s process?
We have built our tutorials to explain the general use of our system. Reach out to your customer success manager to learn more about our individual offerings through training bytes if you’d like a customized learning path.
Troubleshooting
How can I get a pop-up to go away?
Look for the gray button titled “Dismiss” or “Remind Me Later.” If that is not available - the pop-up will have an (x) at the top right-hand corner you can use to exit out.
I have feedback on a Pendo. How can I submit this feedback?
Your feedback is so valuable to us! Some of our tutorials have feedback sections at the end of the walkthrough where you can submit your ideas directly to the team that builds the walkthroughs.
