How to Add Interview Questions to a Competency

Follow the guide below to add interview questions to competencies. You might want to do this if:

  • You're using role-based competencies in your interview scorecards and you want to provide your managers with more guidance on the kind of questions they should be asking during the interview.
  • You're not satisfied with the example questions provided in the competency library and want to add more!
  • You want relevant interview questions to appear automatically for all of your interview scorecards and guides.

Add an interview question to a competency:

1. Head to Tools > Setup

2. Click Manage Competencies under Organization Setup.

3. Find the competency you would like to add or edit interview questions for. Select this competency.

4. In the upper right-hand corner, click the gear icon that appears, then select Edit.

5. Click Add a question probe under an Interview Questions section to add additional interview questions.

6. When you are done, click Save in the upper right-hand corner.

When you assign this competency to a role, open a position for that role, then assign interview scorecards for it, those questions will now auto-populate on the interview guide. Neat!
